1- Special Issue on Recent Advances in Pattern Recognition and Machine Vision

This Special Issue is dedicated on Recent Advances in Pattern Recognition and Machine Vision. The key target audience will be the best papers accepted for the Second Mediterranean Conference on Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence, "MedPRAI 2018", Rabat, Morocco; however other submissions are also welcomed. A strict review procedure will be organized further for selected papers from MedPRAI 2018 to the special issue based on the following standards.

• Authors may submit extended versions of the conference paper, but they must have at least 50% new content.
• Quality and originality in theory and methodology of pattern recognition and machine vision must be highlighted.
• There is a 16 page max length limit (inclusive of figures and tables) and must be prepared for publication according to the journal submission guidelines.
• Application oriented exhibiting originality with reasonable theory involved.

2- Special Issue on Recent Advances in Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence

Extended versions of high quality manuscripts presented at the 2^ndMediterranean Conference on Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence (MedPRAI-2018) are invited for potential publication in a Special Issue on “Recent Advances in Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence” in Neural Computing and Applications, scheduled for publication in the first quarter 2019. In addition to the selected papers from MedPRAI-2018, the special issue is open to all contributions covering the recent advancements in different areas of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence. Submissions are invited in the following topics of interest:

Adaptive computing, algorithms, applicable neural networks theory, applied statistics, architectures, artificial intelligence, benchmarks, case histories of innovative applications, fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms, hardware implementations, hybrid intelligent systems, intelligent agents, intelligent control systems, intelligent diagnostics, intelligent forecasting, machine learning, neural networks, neuro-fuzzy systems, pattern recognition, performance measures, self-learning systems, software simulations and supervised and unsupervised learning methods.

Submission Procedure:

Manuscripts should conform to the standard guidelines of the Neural Computing and Applications. Instructions for formatting papers can be found on the journal website. Prospective authors should submit the electronic copy of their complete manuscript via the EM online submission system.

• Full paper due: July 20, 2018
• First notification: September 20, 2018
• Revised manuscript (for second review) due: October 20, 2018
• Acceptance notification: November 20, 2018
• Final manuscript due: December 20, 2018
• Publication of the special issue: 1^st Quarter of 2019 (tentative)
